5 hits and 4 runs? weren't those his season totals when he was with the reds? I would say when he played for the reds but since he actually did nothing but take up a roster spot when he was them playing would be giving him to much credit. he was just lucky dusty was his manager and put him out there everyday and had him leading off even though he did nothing to deserve being on the roster. how is somebody that awful still playing in the majors? enjoy it now jays fans it won't be long before the real patterson shows up.

Re. # 2; Careful? I dunno. Maybe we could even say...chicken? He seems to walk a lot after that first homer.

As for Patterson, well I said some sh!t about that guy and guess what? He shows me up and walks off the Sox in the 14th. Fine. I agree. He can be on the team. I just wish he wouldn't turn every pop up near him into an adventure.

Back to .500. Need a another 6 game win streak before I feel comfortable about the Beavermen. Tons of offense today, which is good. They need to pour it on to make up for some back of the rotation shakyness.

Lot's of PEDS talk about JB. No one going to mention Alexi Ramirez's power? For a guy so short of a good meal he can really turn on a ball. Actually he's doing a very similar thing to JB; stands pretty much on the chalk of the batter's box. He's wily too. In one at bat I saw him right to the top of it, nearest the pitcher. Then later in the same at bat he'd moved back to the catcher a bit. Sneaky little devil. That must mess with the pitcher a lot.

1) Patterson has been a pleasant surprise this season. He was originally signed to a minor league contract and was expected to have a chance to be the 4th outfielder.
2) Almost half of Bautista's home runs have been in the first inning. Go figure? Are pitchers being more careful as the game goes on?
