He had that ball all the way. It bounced right in front of him; hitting a seam in the turf. His glove was set for the ball about waist high and it came off the turf like a rocket, right in the eye. He looked like he didn’t even have time to close his eye even. Dropped like he’d been shot.

I was some worried about him. Glad he’s ok and no damage to the eye or bone. He’ll have a heck of a shiner.

On the game side of things, the Jays squeaked out a win amid some shaky umping and both managers having words with various of the miscreants thru the game. Jose Molina stole a base, so you can bet this was an odd game. He runs like a full garbage truck trying to beat a light.

Interestingly enough, two of the worlds skinniest ballplayers, Alexi Ramirez and Juan The Beaver Pierre, sure have some power. Both guys showed some pop off the bat. Not bad for 2 dudes who look like they need a good feed.
