Considering he got kicked out of the game around the 4th or 5th inning I’m not sure if Mattingly made the call on running Kershaw out in the 9th.

I hated to see Nolasco take a pounding like that, but Edwin Rodriguez probably figured that his personal ERA was less important than resting up the boolpen after the Feesh took the Bums down the day before with a “boolpen by committee.” On the on the bright side, that’s probably the last time we’ll hear any more cliches or blather about how the staff is “stepping up” because of the injury to Josh Johnson.
