Albert Pujols starting at third base for second time this season

May 31, 2011, 5:17 PM EDT

Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols

Albert Pujols went eight years between starts at third base before playing there on May 16, but now less than three weeks later he’s back at the hot corner.

Pujols, who went 0-for-4 in that May 16 start, is playing third base and batting third for the Cardinals tonight against Ryan Vogelsong and the Giants.

Lance Berkman takes over for Pujols at first base, which he played for most of the past six seasons before shifting back to the outfield this year, and Jon Jay is in right field.

In between third base starts Pujols hit .269 with two homers and a .745 OPS in 13 games.

This may sound like a dumb question, but it sure won’t be my first time, where do you find today’s starting line-ups this early? MLB.com, Baseball-Reference.com, et al do not have the info at this time.

OK, never mind, I got off my lazy ass and Googled it. Rotoinfo.com appears to work just fine.

      Beat writers probably?

Lots of beat writers or newspapers have blogs that post lineups 3 or 4 hours before game time. Basically as soon as the manager does. But you have to check each team individually (or so I think).

That is such a cute, freaky pic you have there.
