The Nationals have the cap room and flexibility to move Ryan Zimmerman to 1st and scoop up Wright for several pitching prospects. That would set them up for at least two years with the option to extend both well into their career. 2012 could be their breakout year and a move to 1st for Zimm could be the smartest thing for his career and their team.

Why wouldn’t Reyes test the FA market. Reyes would have to be an absolute fool not to shop his talents especially if he continues to have the type of year he’s having. The Mets may like to resign him, but I’m sure there will be other teams that would like to also. That’s just my opinion.

I’d love to see the Feesh get him. They haven’t had a real third baseman since Mike Lowell. I doubt, though, if Scrooge McLoria would want to meet the Mutts’ asking price, as I doubt if the Mutts would trade him within the division.
