In a radio interview this morning, Brian Sabean claimed that Scott Cousins hit Buster Posey so hard that he also fractured Brandon Belt’s wrist via the quantum phenomenon of spooky action at a distance.

Exactly, the Giants have played the fewest home games in the National League which 9 less than the D-Backs and they have been riddled with injuries.

Yet they are still tied with the surprising D-Backs in the loss column.

If the starting pitching stays healthy they should be in the N.L West race all year.

Sabean will trade for a starting catcher to get them through the season once the time and price are right.

Still love the Nats thinking the Giants will pay a top flight prospect for a 39 year old Pudge. Sebean is making the right move on the catching setting tight.

With all the bad luck the Giants have suffered they are still only a 1/2 game out of 1st.

There’s a lot of teams out there that WISH they were that unlucky.

They probably wish they had big fancy Tiffany’s rings also…

But every time there is a HBP, the batter gets first base. They don’t make special allowances for particular situations or selectively apply the rule, it is always the same…they don’t choose to ignore the HBP rule when the bases are loaded or the game is tied or under any other circumstance, they do chose to ignore obstruction and interference rules under only one circumstance (despite the rule book making specific mention of the catcher not being allowed to obstruct the runner if he doesn’t have the ball).

Gotta love all the haters . The whole situation with posey was handled right by everyone but Logan Morrison and Brian sabean so I don’t get why everyone is running their mouths … Ohh wait yeah that’s right losers Giants are the world champs and your teams are not . Looks like you all have a little dodger fan in you . I’m surprised you clowns haven’t blamed bonds for all this .

The secret is that Sabes struck an unholy pact to guarantee the health of the homegrown pitching staff. Aside from Wilson’s brief stint on the DL early on, the young pitchers have been healthy, but at what price?

I saw a picture of Belt celebrating an earlier game with Posey and the Panda (totally a name for a kids’ book) and I wept as if I were watching American History X.
