If Frenchy gets some guys on ahead of him he could make some inroads on the deficit. Between Frenchy and Melky that’s some good offense. This kid Adcock’s not so bad; good velocity, nice movement, sly delivery. He just needs to hold them off till the Beavermen’s bullpen gets in there; those guys are so shaky you’d swear they were employed to serve up late inning runs. This aint over yet…

Nix is pretty indifferent at the plate, though he’s shown some life recently. The Beavermen need Lawrie before the division gets away from them.

Your boy Duffy is a pretty lively pitcher. Great arm, quality pitches; a nice lefty pitcher. Needs to settle down when he’s got 2 strikes on a guy, come right after them and sit them down. Instead he nibbles the corners and misses. Drabek, the Jay’s pitcher from last night, is the same way when he gets 2 strikes on someone. Duffy’ll be real good one day.

Frenchy’s strategy of sitting fastball sure is working for him.
