The question is: How far does hitting a grand slam on the first pitch you see in the majors take you before the league decides you can’t hit?

I had high hopes for him when the Padres picked him up but it became pretty clear that despite having the strength to produce power, he simply couldn’t translate that into real world production.

Hopefully he figures something out in the minors and gets another shot.

I can’t imagine anyone is shocked that Kouz cleared waivers, but I am surprised the A’s haven’t just released him at this point and cut their losses. I’d be surprised if we get a bad prospect for him, guess it is worth a shot.
