Casey Blake out of Dodgers’ lineup Saturday with neck pain

Casey Blake

Get one player back, lose another. It’s part of the drill with the Dodgers this season.

According to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times, Casey Blake is out of tonight’s lineup against the Rockies due to neck pain.

While Dodgers manager Don Mattingly called him day-to-day and no tests are scheduled for now, Blake told him he was dealing with “a pinched nerve.”

Of course, the 37-year-old Blake has already served two stints on the disabled list this season due to back and elbow injuries. He’s obviously taking this whole “act your age” thing a bit too literally.

Update: Casey Blake pinch-hit in the 5th inning, hitting a double to plate 3 runs. The Dodgers are taking it day-to-day for now.

Who cares? Blake’s little more than a journeyman… such is the life of Dodgers fans under the current Frank Mc BROKE management!
