I hope that Brett Lawrie is the real deal in the future, because trading Marcum (which I did not like) took away the last veteran stud starting pitcher and the youngsters are out of their depth.

Good luck to the kid. Being demoted worked for Ryan & Halladay. He needs some time away from MLB to get his command and polish that slider till he knows where it’s going. I’m sick of seeing that thing go sailing past Arencebia. His curve needs to be a strike every once in a while, too. It took only a few games before everyone was sitting on his fastballs and crowding the plate.

If Brandon Morrow doesn’t start throwing strikes on the inside half of the plate, then he needs to be sent down too.
