Matthew Berry wrote an article within the past month alluding to a mutual friend he shared with an anonymous baseball superstar who's been slumping all season. This star apparently texts photos of different club hotties to the mutual friend every night. Hanley unavailable for day games after night games, raising the roof and dropping his drawers in that hot macondo orgy? Just a thought...

And Kyle Kendrick is making a case to be #5. Along with Worley and Blanton. It seems the Phills have too many pitchers. Is that even possible?

Whereas the Feesh scored their lone, poignantly iconic run on - ready? - a Logan Morrison solo homer. Clearly, as I inferred in the ATH thread for this morning, the single run - which has no offensive value when your peetchers are imploding like a string of burnt-out red suns - is some kind of philosophical statement which, I hope for the Feeshes sakes, is very Zen.

But Johnny5 is right: the Feesh desperate need Hanley and his .203 batting average back in the lineup, preferably leading off (just a little sugarcoated antinomianism with which to season your afternoons). I would plot their team average with RISP after today's most recent debacle in a concatenation of debacles (you can think of their one win over the Snakes three days ago as the accursed amulet hanging from the chain, the one that enunciates "342" in diamonds and platinum), but I'm afraid that I might stumble over an even integer of Pi and find myself staring into the abyss. Quantum mathematics makes my skin crawl anyway.

I was thinking that the 6-7-8 hitters were about as lame as the boys could put out there, and all they did was contribute 4 runs and 3 RBI to the cause. Geeze, I think the Phillies are serving notice to the rest of baseball...what offense problems? Right now, they are 6th in runs and if they keep scoring like this, they will be 4th before the end of the day :)
