Photo of the Day: Sunglasses at Night

Jun 22, 2011, 10:30 AM EST

I think the Rangers little sunglasses at night world record thing was kind of silly. But hey, at least it gave us this picture, via the Associated Press:

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [a shotgun blast is heard in the distance.]

    p.s. Mission Accomplished.

      Bahahaha!!!!!

    • koufaxmitzvah - Jun 22, 2011 at 11:35 AM

Somewhere, somebody’s face just got pummeled with pellets. But that’s okay, because that somebody is totally cool with who shot him.

    • aceshigh11 - Jun 22, 2011 at 12:15 PM

Hahaha…that made me laugh with my teeth showing.

  2. halladaysbicepts - Jun 22, 2011 at 10:49 AM

    What a bunch of losers…

    • bobwsc - Jun 22, 2011 at 4:02 PM

and if that was in Philly?

      • Utley's Hair - Jun 22, 2011 at 4:03 PM

If it was in Philly, I’m pretty sure that a.) there would be no lame sunglasses stunt like that, and b.) the three of them would not be here.

      • bobwsc - Jun 22, 2011 at 4:09 PM

attendees aside – I’m guessing halladaysbicepts would have a different take on an entire stadium being considered ‘losers’ if it was his home team

      • Utley's Hair - Jun 22, 2011 at 4:13 PM

I think there are quite a few Phightins Phans that he considers to be losers—quite possibly your truly. But I also don’t think he was referring to the three of them, either.

      • Utley's Hair - Jun 22, 2011 at 4:18 PM

Of course that is supposed to read “yours truly.”

  3. Jonny 5 - Jun 22, 2011 at 10:54 AM

I bet those two are sooooo stoned on the Alabama Kush.

    • Mr. Jason "El Bravo" Heyward - Jun 22, 2011 at 10:56 AM

There’s nothing like that ‘Bama Kush….except every other shrub out there. That scene is pretty fantastic.

      • Jonny 5 - Jun 22, 2011 at 10:58 AM

        I love documentaries too.

  4. APBA Guy - Jun 22, 2011 at 11:27 AM

Where’s ZZ when you really need them?

  5. koufaxmitzvah - Jun 22, 2011 at 11:36 AM

When Nolan and the Rangers learn that they can’t win with W in the stadium.

    • aceshigh11 - Jun 22, 2011 at 12:16 PM

Bush is like King Midas in reverse…everything he touches turns to sh|t.

      • Mr. Jason "El Bravo" Heyward - Jun 22, 2011 at 1:39 PM

King Midas backwards is “Sadim”, which is how Bush pronounces “Saddam”…very apropos.

  6. trevorb06 - Jun 22, 2011 at 11:36 AM

If this had been a Twin’s game you’d have a stadium full of hipsters wearing their Raybans, being as MN is apparently the most hipster state in the nation.

    Sad.

    • kopy - Jun 22, 2011 at 11:52 AM

How many hipsters does it take to change a lightbulb?

It’s a really obscure number. You’ve probably never heard of it.

      • Mr. Jason "El Bravo" Heyward - Jun 22, 2011 at 12:07 PM

+1 PBR tall boy and an American Apparel hoodie for kopy

      • kopy - Jun 22, 2011 at 12:14 PM

Terrible thing is, I love PBR. My grandpa used to brew it in Milwaukee back in the day, and I have all kinds of handed-down memorabilia. Plus, I think it is a great tasting alternative to the “big three” Miller/Coors/Bud. But, I can feel the judgement whenever I buy a case or order it in a bar. The hipsters ruined it for me, although they are making it more widely available.

      • Utley's Hair - Jun 22, 2011 at 12:27 PM

A great tasting alternative to Miller, Bud and Coors? Wouldn’t that be just about anything?

      • Jonny 5 - Jun 22, 2011 at 12:29 PM

I tasted Schmidts light from a can last week an old man offered, and I swear it tasted better than the big three. I swore I must be crazy at the time but you have me thinking now.

  7. jimbo1949 - Jun 22, 2011 at 12:35 PM

Even Iron City has it’s admirers.

  8. spudchukar - Jun 22, 2011 at 12:44 PM

The man has been in the dark for some time.

  9. metalhead65 - Jun 22, 2011 at 1:51 PM

wow I thought I was on site about baseball but must have been redirected to a tree hugger site, because only they could turn a silly promotion into a political debate trashing Bush for everything wrong with the world today.

    • Mr. Jason "El Bravo" Heyward - Jun 22, 2011 at 1:56 PM

There’s no debate. We all agree you suck.

      • tadthebad - Jun 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM

        Right back at you, slick.

    • Utley's Hair - Jun 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM

A debate generally entails a back-and-forth. This is just a well-earned bash of the guy.

    • Utley's Hair - Jun 22, 2011 at 2:06 PM

Besides, only about half of the comments on here relate to him—and that includes yours. And the aren’t really all that pointed comments, either, so pull in your hackles.

(Wow…that’s the second time I’ve used “hackles” in two days. I might start using it more from now on.)
