It's weird that I haven't been able to find a single excuse from the Bumgarner camp. What suddenly went wrong with this guy? Velocity? Injury? Tipping pitches? Being really ugly? (OK, that might not, on its own, be a good reason.)

If the twins did somehow manage to come all the way back and take the division, it would be the largest comeback in the History of baseball. As far as I can tell the 1914 Boston Braves currently hold that mark with a 15 game comeback, and the Twins were down 16.5 at one point.

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong but was Bumgarner's ERA for last nights game 240.00?

ERA = ER x 9 / IP

Last night: 8 x 9 / .3 =
                     72 / .3 = 240.00 (is that right?)

Here is another weird one. Casilla was the first guy in a long time to bat 2 times in the same inning but from different sides (He is a switch hitter and faced 2 pitchers) So 8 straight hits helped an 8 run first inning to get to 8 straight wins. Crazy stuff (http://minnesporta.wordpress.com/2011/06/22/twins-blast-giants/)
