As far as I can tell the 1914 Boston Braves currently hold that mark with a 15 game comeback, and the Twins were down 16.5 at one point.

Casilla was the first guy in a long time to bat 2 times in the same inning but from different sides (He is a switch hitter and faced 2 pitchers) So 8 straight hits helped an 8 run first inning to get to 8 straight wins.
