FWIW, UZR doesn’t appear to make him out to be much of a third baseman. Of course, it’s not too crazy about his range in RF either.

Bautista has plenty of experience at third base and is superior defensively than any other third baseman on the roster.

Colossal mistake. Baseball is a game of routine. You don’t move the greatest hitter in the league around the way folks have been doing with pujols and now bautista.

I guess they don’t feel like they have any 3rd baseman that can hit while they have outfielders that can, but I think it’s a mistake to keep moving your star player around.

Thames is being called up to play in the outfield. Snider is not available after a mild concussion caused by a pitch that hit him on the helmet. I would expect to see Bautista play at third base today.
