Ryan Vogelsong is mortal. At least today

Ryan Vogelsong has been on a real roll. He hadn’t allowed more than two runs in a start since May 3rd, which was ten starts ago.  And even then, it was the only time this year he’s given up more than two runs in 11 starts.

Well, today was his 12th start. Just got underway a while a ago, and he has already given up three runs to the Cubs.

All good things must come to an end.

It was funny the first few times. At this point, you’ve not only killed the joke, you jumped up and down on the corpse, ran a steamroller over it, cut the flattened remains into thousands of tiny pieces, and scattered them over the seven seas. We get it, he misspelled biceps and compounded his mistake by making some controversial, possibly idiotic comments at first. Shockingly enough, that’s not a never-ending well of comedy.

I will continue to give it the ‘ol thumbs up. I laugh every time.

        Or is it thumbts?

that last name seems like the title of a crappy Brady Bunch song, given Marcia’s infatuation with the family dentist, Dr. Vogel.

Just like Greg’s infatuation with Mrs. Brady, his stepmom.

is that who she got crabs from? they pushed it off on some ex-mayor or something.

      • halladaysbicepts - Jun 28, 2011 at 3:26 PM

Yeah, I saw that. Florence’ is claiming the ex-mayor gave her the crabs. I think it was Greg, though. I think he passed them on from Marsha.

but the crabs episode was in the 60’s or 70’s; that takes Craig off the hook

Greg or Craig? Now I’m confused (LOL)!!!

good point; there was a rumor that she and Greg Brady hooked up too. on a somewhat related note, the Fonz and Mrs. C also got it on.

New Headline: Ryan Vogelsong hadn’t allowed more than three runs in a start since May 3rd.

Gotta look on the bright side.

The real story is that the Giants have scored 10 runs.

Vogey finishes with 5 innings pitched, 3 earned runs allowed (6 total — thank you, Bill Hall), 6 K, 4 BB. His ERA is now a whopping 2.09. 2 HRs for the Cubs on a day when the Wrigley weather is hitter friendly. Vogelsong left the game with a 6 run lead, so he’s got a pretty good shot at the W.

Not a quality start, but if this is his idea of a “meltdown” I think most Giants fans will take it.
