Russ Ortiz’ name seems to pop up every season, and he hasn’t had a sub-5.00 ERA since 2004. And he’s a righty, so you know Davis is going to get another gig.

He is left handed and has a pulse. Too early to write him off yet. Someone will probably sign him to a minor league contract as the Cubs will be paying most of his salary.
