See, a visit to Dr. James Andrews is not always a harbinger of doom. Josh Johnson saw him today, and the news is good: no structural damage to his shoulder. Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post reports that “a person close to Johnson” called it “the best-case scenario.”
Johnson got a cortisone shot and will cease his throwing program for ten days. After that, back to the grind.

Got to be careful of those cortisone shots. According to Oswalt, things start falling off if you have too many….and nobody wants things to start falling randomly off.

That loud sibilance was my sigh of relief. You don’t have a flat.

Good news, certainly.
My nephew, who saw Andrews Monday and was in surgery Tuesday for his right shoulder, is out 4 months. That’s better than it could have been.

So his shoulder hurts because nothing is wrong with it? Isn’t that what they told Peavy 3 years ago or so. At least when they find a problem they can try to fix it…
