I’d be curious to see the list of every team’s emergency catchers. It could be more interesting than watching a utility infielder have to pitch.

I once lied on a resume and said I was proficient in excel, even though in a college computer class I had taken a decade earlier, we only spent 2 1 hour classes on it. Everything was great for 6 or 8 months, but then inventory came, and who do you think was picked to do the spreadsheets. I about cried, then spent all night watching every youtube video I could get my hands on learning it.

I bet Adam Kennedy has done the same thing.

“Oh yeah Mr GM, I can play first, second, third, outfield, and did some pitching and catching in the minors.”

Then his number got called, just like mine did.
