Fan seeing every major league park via bicycle

Bicycle

You hear about guys who do the “road trip to see every ballpark” thing every year — and you secretly believe that you could do it in higher style than those jokers could — but I can’t recall ever hearing it via bicycle:

Since the former food co-op employee from Bellingham, Wash., committed to ride his 27-speed, steel-framed bicycle to all 30 stadiums in the course of an April-to-September big league slate, he’s already pedaled more than 6,000 miles of the estimated 10,500-mile journey. “It’s awesome,” he says. “I can’t believe I’m actually doing it.”

Oh, had I but world enough and time, I’d probably be doing the same thing.

I’d be doing it in a Camaro or something, but yeah, basically the same thing.

I’d be doing it in a Bentley with a bunch of models. Same thing. To each their own. I’d go to some games, too.

I’d be doing it with a bunch of models in a Bentley. Almost the same thing. What’s this about baseball?

Obviously you didn’t get what I was saying. :-P Re-read it again. Ha ha.

Funny enough, a couple weeks ago this guy was here in Tampa, and somehow the morning sports talk guys found out about what he was doing, and they had him on the air to talk about his travels. He seemed like a typical young dude, except he was riding a bike all over the place. He said he ate a diet of a lot of McDoubles from McDonalds “because they are cheap, taste good, and have protein”

And he cleared up that, in fact, he is NOT the first to do this, apparently he is the THIRD, and he got advice for the journey from the two guys who had done it before him.
