This article should be shoved down the throat of the entire “Jeter is overrated” crowd. The reason he’s considered overrated by some is because his game isn’t dependent on power, which is the attraction for the casual and uninformed fan, more often than not. In an era of roided up sluggers, Jeter was a high-average on-base guy who spent most of his career hitting second. If anything, he should be applauded for being smart enough, even as a young man, not to jump on the power bandwagon.
