He’s a back end starter. Pitches to contact because he doesn’t K a lot, has a brutal GB% which means he gives up a ton of HR’s. Maybe he gets by in a big park, but the guy isn’t someone I would want pitching in a playoff game.

Since 2008 he ranks 54 out of 72 qualifying SP’s in ERA, and I doubt he’d fair much better with FIP or WAR. He’s probably more valuable eating innings to Baltimore than the C prospect they’d get in return.
