I read something about A-Rod’s contract that gives him $6 million for each player he passes on the homr run list one he reaches Mays. That makes me want to throw up everywhere.

What’s the old saying? ” one hand washes the other ” They’re both making plenty of money off each other. Name one team that would have given Jeter the contract the Yankees gave him, not many 37 yr. old SS making 15+mil a year until they’re 40.

Steiner Sports brought the problems upon themselves. Instead of merely advertise that merchandise would be available, they had a contest for some free bric-a-brac announced on Yankees Radio Network. You had to text “DJ3K” to a number, and you received their 800# to call back with the date, time, and # of outs.
Hey, Free Stuff! But I would think that their normal number of lines and people available to answer them, probably about a dozen, had more like 50,000 calls for quite some time and they couldn’t even handle someone who wanted to buy something.
