Aaron Crow ill, likely won’t pitch in All-Star Game

Not that he was all that likely to pitch anyway.

Royals setup man and unlikely AL All-Star Aaron Crow fell ill after arriving in Phoenix on Sunday and is probably won’t be pitch during tonight’s game.

“It’s either (strep throat) or a sinus infection,” Crow said. “(The doctor) gave me some medicine and I’m feeling a lot better.”

Despite the illness, Crow will be in uniform tonight.  After talking with AL coaches, it was decided that he’d only pitch if the game goes into extra innings.

He is expected to be ready to go when the Royals’ season resumed on Thursday.

Gotta be rough randomly getting sick at the All-Star game, eh, Aaron “Old” Crow?

One more reason Alex Gordon should have been the Royals pick. As an aside question, if Crow wasnt going to be pitching anyway what is the point of having an All Star from every team? Not that I agree with that, but it is the rules.

Royals should trade him now for Carlos

Sounds like someone had a little too much fun on Verlader’s private jet flight from KC to the desert!
