Last night he got thrown out at the plate – well, actually, about five feet north of it – trying to score from second on Mike Cameron’s ninth inning single on a ball that had been one-hopped directly at the left fielder, who was playing a short position anyway. Aside from the fact that the ball was back into the infield before Hanley even rounded third last night, how often does Mike Cameron single anyway? He’s far too busy dispensing veteran leadership.
