Basically, the Yankees have a second rate rotation with only one reliable starting pitcher and the Jays are due to beat up on him today. The problem the Yankees faced was that the Jays were getting a lot of hits against the Yankee retreada. Stealing signs had nothing to do with it. Second rate pitching is a big problem in New York.

If I was Russ Martin I wouldn’t feel so bad. The Dugong was not exactly lighting the place up with his pitching last night. In fact Fat Bart was nibbling the corners from the get go, seemed afraid to throw his fast ball and was puffing like a beached whale after running all over the infield. It’s not Martin’s fault The Dugong be chubby, prone to missing, and lacked velocity.
