I guess he was trying to play through the pain but he is unable to cut it loose. It is a significant loss as he has been brilliant defensively and a solid and timely bat. One more hurdle. Fortunately, Descalso has shown that he can play all three infield positions, and when Craig returns he can spell Schumaker at second versus lefties.
