I wonder if espn will cut to every single Thome at-bat when he is at 599 like they did with Ass-Rod. That was the worst. If they do it with Thome it will still suck, but not quite as bad. Seriously though, 600 may be a nice milestone but it isn’t worth getting your panties in a twist over.

I always wished that the Yankees had gotten Thome rather then Giambi. Hitting in Yankee stadium for four or five years he might be closing in on Willie Mays at 660 by now.
