There was a funny anecdote about the fearless crew of the Minnow on the Feesh broadcast tonight. Seems one of the Minnow’s announcers knows Tommy Hutton pretty well and called in to remark that the Crew is hitting so badly that they can use the same baseballs for several days in a row. Ouch, that’s like sticking yourself with a lionfish dorsal fin.

That line just made my day.. Mariners cleanup hitters are worse than the worst hitters on their own team, and it isn’t even close.

Basically, Wedge would be better putting the batting lineup together by pulling names out of a hat.

I see that Craig’s boy Francoeur is on that list- I wonder how he feels about that? Looks like Justin Smoak is really working out for them- the Rangers probably laughed all the way to the bank on that one.

Injuries have played a roll in those numbers. For example, Morneau has been hurting all year and Toronto’s number would have been higher if Lind had been healthy all year.
