Wish we knew. Cantu was a converted first baseman anyway. The Feesh haven't had a real, solid third baseman since Mike Lowell. Scrooge McLoria seems to think that third base needs to be a perpetual Achilles heel, you know, like the deliberate flaw in Navajo blanket designs meant to let the animating spirit of the designer escape to inspire future designs. Or something.

I think maybe the Chihuahua has been to one too many garage sales lately. After they shot themselves in the tailfins with that tennis court oath of a contract for John Buck, who has been hugging the contours of the Mendoza line like a cruise missile with a dud in its nose, it looks like Scrooge McLoria and Larry Beinfest are back to their old habits of searching the scrap heaps and back alleys of baseball like overdressed boat people hoping someone accidentally threw out a diamond studded wristwatch.
