Numbers 2-30 are reasonably close, with Baltimore at the bottom with 21, and Toronto at #2 with 41. There is only one true statistical anomaly. The Red Sox have plunked 54 hitters. No wonder they call it BeanTown.

I can if you would like remind you of the times and even if you don’t I will anyway.last year there was the Arroyo cheats because he beat the cards,the balls are doctured according the cards and no one else who plays the reds and don’t forget carpenter whining after a loss to them about the mound and of coarse the smoke from fireworks as the reason he lost. this coming from a guy who is like 85- against them. then there was the whining about trying to hit albert earlier this year because the always on target closer dared throw the ball inside. oh wait I forgot Cuteo had to kick his way out of a fight after being pinned up the wall by the cardinals. yea it was his fault larue had to retire after his 10th concussion. whiny bitches!

The Cardinals don’t hit batters more than anyone else. There was a section in the god-awful Three Nights In August that mentioned LaRussa throwing at the other team when he felt they intentionally threw at his time, like 99% of managers do (which makes it no less stupid lest you think I’m defending it). Somehow this got turned into an insane theory that Cardinals pitchers hit guys for looking at them cockeyed.
