Teheren is out of the question here. One of the highest touted prospects in the game. As for McClouth I can’t see the Mets even wanting him. I still have a hatred for Beltran ever since he almost single handledly ended the Braves last postseason appearance in their division title run whilst he was an Astro. Granted I would take him over Frenchy or anyone of that ilk but as a Braves fan I don’t really want to give up what we would need to in order to land him.

The Giants are no more out of it than the other teams are. The Mets are only asking for prospects because we’ve got good ones they’re drooling over.

Someone needs to go over there and slap that GM or pour a ice bucket full of water in his lap. Maybe that will wake him up.

If you can get an over the hill player for one or two B/B+ prospect and assuming the remainder of the contract I say do the deal. But two A/A+ prospects for Beltran is horrific overpayment. Let some other desperate team decimate their farm system for him.
