I think it's worth exploring. Gerardo Parra would likely be perfectly average in center field, so if they could get two very good prospects for Young -- preferably a SP and a guy who could take over at second or third next year -- it might be worth doing. But like 5thbase wrote, I doubt he'll be moved.

CY doesn't hit well enough for them to get blown away with offers. Plus, I generally don't see Young, Upton, Drew (not that anyone would trade for him right now anyway), Hudson or Kennedy available no matter what short of someone way way unrealistically overpaying in a trade. It's not like these are old guys or have huge contracts and if they're traded it would be a message to the fans that the team does not plan on contending for at least five years.

As close as they are to contending this year, and only one year removed from having the worst bullpen in the history of forever, I don't see them making any moves that would degrade from their potential for next year even if they do decide to be sellers this year.

Matt,
Do you think they would field offers for Chris Young assuming they become sellers?
