actually, drmonkeyarmy, i think what you meant to say is that the brewers best starter’s era this year is marginally better than the phillies 7th starter! … sorry fless, while i have 3 of the brewers 5 starters on at least one of my fantasy teams, it’s not even a close comparison when looking at the two rotations.

Wow its amazing how closely people read the articles…at a minimum 15 days. Now if the tests come back that he suffered any kind of ligament damage then hes done for the year. 4-6 at least for a broken ankle…10-12 to resume normal walking and very little athletic functions if its ligament. Even being a Cardinals fan it hard to see something like this. Its more fun when its a tight race with the best players of a team on the field. Hope for the best for him.

DO YOU? How does 15 days equals 2 FULL months of a season.

They have 1 game left with the crappy cubs (1 game)
play the Astros next, whom suck (4 games total now)
The cardinals are right after that, so it may effect those games plus an off day (7 games 8 days)
Then they play oh look at that, the shitty Astros again (10 games 11 days)
OFF DAY (10 games 12 days
Then again another 3 game series of the Cardinals (13 games 15 days)

And in all of that time guess what, that only bring us to August 11th. With games still going to September 28th. So again, how does 15 days equal out to 2 full months of a season. You can’t sit here and tell me they dont have a chance to sweep the cubs, the astros both times and win at least 1 or 2 games in each of the series with the Cards. Sorry bud. But maybe time is against you

Did somebody above actually compare the Brewers starters to the Phillies starters? Lets do a little comparison:
Greinke: 4.50 Halladay: 2.55
Gallardo: 3.89 Lee: 3.05
Marcum: 3.35 ERA Hamels: 2.61
Wolf: 3.62 Worley: 2.02
Narveson: 4.41 Kendrick: 3.45

So in short, the best ERA of the Brewers rotation is marginally better than the 5th starter for the Phillies.

Actually I think the Brewers are one of the best teams in the majors, they are just not elite like the Red Sox or the Phillies. And I wasn’t calling Brewers fans anything, I was referring to everybody who thumbed me down for stating the obvious. Well Frank, you’re calling Brewers fans d-bags? Apparently the old saying holds true – It takes one to know one. The Brewers starters 1-5 rank right up there with the Giants and Phillies. They have something like 13 quality starts in a row. With K-Rod and Axford in the bullpen, if the Brewers are in the lead, they essentially have turned their games into 7-inning games. But keep name calling, after all clearly you’re so smart.

I didn’t know there were that many Brewers fans in the world. I understand some of you thumbs down me regardless of the substance of my post, but how many people were really thinking the Brewers were going deep into the postseason before this? Losing Weeks decreases those already small chances greatly, so you d-bags can thumbs down all you want, but you know I’m right.
