Do you realize Vin broadcast the Don Larsen perfect game in 1956!! That was 55 years ago. And this guy is mocking him. Vin Scully IS baseball in LA and Brooklyn. Bite your tongue, fool.

Well its been a farce for years when they said they were averaging 3M a year when the stadium hasn’t been sold out as much as they state over the last few years. We all know that they have corporate packages which mislead all attendance figures and a city as big as LA masks it even more right now everyone is treating Dodger tickets like they treat LA Clipper tickets can’t give them away and until something is done about McCourt it will continue. Also, MLB had a big hand is this mess up from the beginning so start with Bud Light and lets really talk about how McCourt was allowed to buy the team even though he really didn’t have money, I hear it it’s call LAWSUIT. Well you get what you deserve unfortunately LA got Murdock then McCourt must be in the M’s,

I’ve watched them a few times this season and have seen the vast blue waves of empty seats. And poor old venerable Vin talking like an ancient forgotten genius in a nursing home. One day during an interleague game with the Tigers, Brendan Boesche (however it’s spelled) came up and Vin went into a long encomium to a 15th c. painter named Bosch (“if you’ve ever seen any of that guy’s painting, boy, you will never forget them…”). It was hilarious, but sad too in its way…

When will we get past using the “paid attendance” figure as a barometer? I assume tickets are now scanned electronically at all MLB venues. The system used is capable of instantaneous accounting. Why not use the technology?

Let’s get their parking, concession and merchandise receipts and compare them to this time last year. That will give a nice illustration of how much in ancillary game day revenue they are actually losing on a daily basis. My guess is its considerable.

Whew! Thanks for that info. I thought it was the Blue Land Company that owns Dodger Stadium that had tickets for sale. I think I also saw a crazy blonde lady hawking Dodger tix on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

I highly applaud Dodger fans for choosing not to support their team here. While it is unfortunate that it has to come to this, not attending (not watching on tv or buying merch as well) is the only way the fans’ voice can be heard.

Attendance is down because Dodger fans are tired of a broke, asshat of an owner. Fans have one way to speak to an owner: not giving him money. I still support the team, as all Dodger fans do, but it’s obvious many will no longer support McCourt. Trust me, the desire is still there (and will be duly shown once a real owner buys the team).
