I sort of hate to see Koji leave Baltimore, which was a total turnaround in my opinion of him since last year. Last year he couldn’t stay healthy, this year he’s been almost un-hittable.

One albatross that has followed Koji, fair or not, is that he wilts in the late summer heat. If he makes it in Texas he’ll survive anywhere. I hope he flourishes there.

No, I get they don’t need him. Just that if the opportunity to move Bell at something better than 2 comp picks, that could pass. Maybe not done yet since the Rangers have other picks that match up better. Davis definitely not fit in the Padres plans.

I would disagree on that. Padres don’t have much use for Davis and it doesn’t appear the Rangers were offering anything else.

Jed would rather have and he is right to rather have the 2 draft picks at years end.

Well Jed (Padres GM), looks like you got aced on this deal so what’s your next move on Bell? Cardinals now seem like the only player out there (maybe Angels) and now they’re in the driver’s seat if you want to move him.
