Sounds like boy blunder (Theo) made some great moves today. The Royal fans seem elated with the move and Harden, if his history holds true to form will be joining the others of the rotation on the DL sometime soon. On the bright side Boston still has Lackey to count on (to fall on his ass) every fifth day.

You clearly have no clue what you are talking about. Not sure how a guy can crush anything, when the best year he had was 10 home runs…for the year. He not only has the second lowest batting average on the team, Moose being the worst, he has the worst fielding percentage on the team.
He would be classified as a waste on any team, it’s just that with the Royals he’s had waaaayy to much playing time, which with any other team he never would have gotten.
Angel Berrora incarnate, just watch, 2 years from now he’ll be trolling around in the Independent Leagues.

Aviles is the very definition of hot garbage. He’s a disaster in the field. He has the speed to be a solid baserunner, but completely lacks the smarts. If he doesn’t lead the majors in getting picked off at first base, it’s only because not playing every day has limited his chances.

And for the talk of how he hits against lefties, his bat is only an asset when he plays every day and can get into one of his hot streaks. As a guy off the bench, he’s not just useless, he’s arguably a negative.

he doesn’t just hit lefties “decent” he crushes them. On the royals hes a waste but a team like the redsox they can use him in certain spots and he will be an amazing bench/utility player for them. Getting a cost controlled infielder that destroys lefties for a mehish blocked player is an example of why the redsox are one of the best run teams in baseball.

HA HA HA HA HA HA !!! This is the best possible news a Royals fan could have during the trade deadline. To actually get something in return for Aviles is amazing, I would have loved if they just dumped him.
Enjoy having such a bad player on your team, at least you won’t have to worry about him being a “regular”, he cashed in on 1 good season, much like Angel Berrora, and he’s every bit of a terrible player as him as well.
Praise the Baseball Gods!! This makes me happier than knowing that Betancourt got thrown into the Greinke trade. I’m as happy as a puppy with two peters!
You can try and sweeten it up with the oh “well he’s decent against lefties”, he also as 10 errors this season to go with those 10 stolen bases.
Time to go do some celebratory shots!!

You can’t expect every pick up to be a huge star , they didn’t give up much , and they got a decent player in return , he is not great by any means , but he is hitting .309 this year against leftys , i would assume that is a high reason , and he is 10 for 12 stealing bases , just a minor acquisition no need to get riled up .

Navarro is not ready to be an everyday infielder , no way , he looks terrible out there .

Aviles is probably a better backup.

Seems like they could have gotten more for a decent prospect than a backup infielder, but Navarro’s no sure thing, and Aviles is. Even if Aviles is only sure to be a capable backup.
