Eric Stephen at SB nation LA and True Blue LA says “Kuroda signed a $12 million, one-year deal last winter, though $4 million of that is a deferred bonus, so his true 2011 salary is $8 million. Any team trading for him on July 31 would be on the hook for roughly $2.58 million”

The Dodgers are on the hook for the deferred bonus not the team trading for him which makes him a much more affordable 2 month rental. I’m not %100 percent sure about the deferred bonus but that’s what several Dodger blogs have reported. Just an FYI.
