Indians rookie Jason Kipnis has homered in four straight games

I saw Jason Kipnis play here in Columbus last month.  I’m no scout and I don’t know what to look for, but he seemed pretty solid.  Had a good game anyway, and some dude sitting a few seats down from me was telling his friend that Kipnis was impressive. Works for me!

But whether he’s something special or not, he’s sure been acting like it lately: he homered for the fourth straight game last night, and he’s now six for his last 16, five of those being extra base hits.

So that’s great. Especially when you realize that young guys who burst on the scene like this never, ever fail.

Actually Frenchy has been pretty decent this year so far. A link to Kevin Maas might have been more appropriate.

      Or Chris Shelton.

Yeah, but Craig’s got this Frenchy fetish.

You know, before the Hunter Pence deal I was thinking: what would Craig do if the Phillies traded for Frenchy and the man tears it up against the Braves in the NLCS? Alas, the world may never know…

I was expecting that link to take me to Heyward, not Frenchy…

Jason Kipnis was born in Evanston, IL. Anybody know if he’s any kin to this guy? A couple of my college roommates took classes with him and really liked him.
