if you don't know construction you shouldnt speak like you do. Its not that chunks of concrete will fall on people its that after years of stress from 1000s of people accumulating on top of concrete walkways the likelihood of that walkway collapsing rises. If your using an inferior product that likelihood rises even more. They dont arbitrarily make up these rules of checks and balances for no reason they do it after years of learning from their mistakes. Like collapses of freeway over passes, piers, decks and bridges like the one in Minneapolis a few years ago. One weak area can greatly diminish the structural integrity of an entire structure.

For someone who got all up in arms over the height of a railing or lack of a net that led to 1 mans death a few weeks ago I dont see how you can brush this away like its nothing to worry serious. There has been dozens of examples where skirting the rules like they did at Yankee stadium has led to the deaths of countless individuals not just 1 man. Im not saying that that situation wasnt serious bc it obviously was Im saying that just bc the situation at Yankee stadium hasnt led to any deaths yet doesnt make it any less serious.

If we didnt know about this and a few years from now a section of yankee stadium collapses causing 100s of people to plummet to their death or to die bc of debree falling on them and then we found out that they falsified reports about building inspections and materials the media and public outcry would be enormous. And you would be leading the charge. So why is it such a big joke now? Bc it hasnt happened yet. People should be in the business of trying to stop something before it happens than just reacting to it after it occurs.
