Actually it was pretty good. Reminded me of this fake doctor we worked with for a week. He had a toupe and everything. When last we saw him he was legging it across the hospital grounds being chased by security and the cops. Lost his toupe in a duck pond and was caught by a 19 year old security kid who was a 3rd string defenseman on the University Hockey team. Best shoulder check into a trash can I’ve ever seen in real time. We heard he made bail and was next arrested at the American border impersonating a government official. The man’s still a legend at my old hospital.

Of course, there are justifiable reasons as to why MLB won’t disclose umpire punishment! Then the punished umps would be angry and potentially leave, and would you really want that?

Yeah, I’m going to call you out on this one. In the “chicken thread” by Aaron Gleeman, you chastised me for my joke on that thread, saying something to the affect that it was distasteful. Now, you post something like this. I have no problem with people joking around, as I like to do it myself, but don’t put a puritan-like statement out there about what I post and then post something that many maybe would be unacceptable to others.

I don’t take offense to what you posted. Just be consistent before chastising me.

The answer is that it is probably covered in the umpire’s union contract, which is also the reason that they can’t just fire the bad umpires.

Either Vin Scully with the color guy who works with Bob Uecker or Uecker with the color guy who works with Scully. And yes, I am quite aware that neither of those two work with color guys.

That’s an amazing Whiskey list, I’m rather shocked to see Bushmill’s 21 yr old isn’t on there though. The best liquor I’ve ever had. The 16 was good, though, a bit rough when compared to the 21. Then again, I was hammered on St Pat’s when I ordered a shot of it (like…$13 a shot), so my taste buds may not have been entirely on the ball.

As far as greatest band ever, it’s hard to beat the Stones’ peak of Beggars Banquet through Exile.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. It seems like every great band has a run of great albums that define them: Zeppelin I-IV, Metallica between Ride the Lightning and . . .Justice, and Floyd between Meddle and the Wall.

Lol! Well, I can tell you that the city of Philadelphia and it’s fans are elated with this team. It’s seems they can do no wrong. It’s an exciting time to be a Philadelphian right now, with both what the Phillies are doing and what the Eagles did in free agency. Of course I will not get into the Eagles. That’s for PFT. But, the genuine excitement for both teams is as high as I have ever seen, with the exception of maybe 1980.
