The problem is he cant last a month without getting hurt. If they can put him in bubble wrap or something he could be really good. He is a darn good hitter, hits from both sides and plays hard.

Switch hitter , when hes off and hes not hitting well , he is about as good as Scutaro , but when he is hitting like he was in the beginning of the year he is much better then Scutaro. Although marco looked pretty good last night , can’t count on that from him on a regular basis.

He traumatized a nerve which started mis-signaling a muscle in his shoulder. He suffered at the plate. And you could see his timing was off in the weeks leading up to his DL stint. The Red Sox wanted to make sure they got the diagnosis correct and rehab him accordingly. Lowrie did just that. He’s confident he’s strong again. The Red Sox are confident he strong again.

I’m betting that Lowrie does get hot. He’s a more dangerous bat than a lot of people realize – and that includes Boston.

For some reason, Lowrie’s defensive metrics have been pretty good in previous years, but I think the sample sizes still aren’t where they need to be.
