I disagree with them, and think as long as the players stay away from the sports book, they should be allowed to do whatever they want, but MLB doesn’t see it that way. That’s why you don’t see many stories of current professional players of many sports playing in the World Series of poker…don’t you think these egotistical poker-playing degenerates would love to play in that event? But you never see current players play, even though it is perfectly legal for them to do so. Even if it is one of the one-day events on a day off during May they could do it…but they do not.

I played poker last weekend at a friends house and I am sure many others did too. SO WHAT? Is this really a poker playing issue or is this more of an Arod issue? Would MLB or anyone even talk about this if the player involved was Eduardo Nunez? Possible questionable people at that poker game? Well when you play at a casino how do you know if all the other players in the poker room are all on the up and up? Arod likes to play poker, he can afford to play poker. Is poker playing as far as we know is not affecting his hitting or fielding. So what exactly is the issue here?
