Ergo, if he’s still chirruping away like this, I gotta believe he’s decided he’d rather be somewhere else. What he does seem not to realize is that if he kvetches and bellyaches his way out, he’s going to land somewhere else already tagged as a troublemaker and liable re-launch his career in someone else’s doghouse rather than with a clean slate.

Morrison doesn’t have the service time to not be optioned to the minors. The Marlins know he has options and they chose to send him down. Don’t you think they know what his contract would allow? They have their own baseball people/lawyers that know this.

Morrison’s agent is posturing. Period. He knows damn well that this is the Marlins right to send him down.

But let’s also keep a little perspective on this. The Feesh don’t generally keep their veterans around long enough to evolve into spokesmen or team captains. Their veterans are usually over-the-hill scrapheap pickups like Mike Cameron or DeWayne Wise or even Kindly Uncle Wes who have been around long enough to understand both how peripheral they are to the team’s long-term prospects and how inexpensive it would be for the team to release them if they made any waves. On this particular Feesh team this particular year, among the few guys who might qualify as leaders based on accomplishments or sentiority, Josh Johnson is on the DL and Hanley, even when not on the DL, clearly doesn’t have the respect of enough of his teammates – for whatever reason – nor the emotional continence to lay claim to the role.

Ergo, Tweeter kind of falls into the role by default just by dint of the sheer volume of static he emits. This is, unfortunately, the natural outcome of the Feesh’s dysfunctional corporate culture.

Good. Explore his contract. Last time I checked, Logan Morrison has minor league options.

Another win for the players’ agents and good luck contacting the player’s union. Pathetic.
