That is the exact opposite of irony. With the Giants’ offense to this point and the injuries sustained, a no hitter through 6 would, in fact, be expected.

“Diehard”?? 2.5 games back in mid August is no time to concede anything. Did you even watch last year at all? Don’t know if they will repeat, but that’s why they play the games and I watch.

I’m more worried about the offense. Schierholtz was streaky but came up big often, and Keppinger is a solid hitter. With them and Beltran out, that leaves Sandoval as what’s left of our already poor offense. Maybe Belt will go on a tear.

Huff sucks on fire in the OF though.

No idea when Keppinger and Rowand got hurt, but Nate had been dealing with a leg injury for a couple of games and then fouled hard off of his foot last night. Sandoval did that too, and I’m surprised he’s in the lineup tonight – it was suspected he’d miss a game or two after he was pulled yesterday.

Wow, that’s a hell of a defeatist attitude from a fan of the team that won the World Series last season after being down 6.5 games in the division on August 25th last season. It’s not like your team was hitting anyway and your stud pitchers are still around. The Giants are only 2.5 games back to a team that was 65-97 last season and finished dead last in the NL West.
