Brian Wilson has sore elbow examined by Dr. James Andrews

San Francisco’s injuries keep piling up.

Yesterday the Giants placed setup man Sergio Romo on the disabled list with elbow inflammation and now closer Brian Wilson is unavailable due to elbow problems of his own.

For now the Giants are calling Wilson’s elbow injury inflammation as well, but Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News reports that he went to Florida to have Dr. James Andrews look things over.

Wilson has been unavailable recently because of a back injury and gave up three runs in his most recent appearance Monday, allowing three hits and two walks while recording just two outs. Bruce Bochy indicated that Wilson may be able to return in 2-3 days, so the Giants will avoid putting him on the DL.

Maybe he should shave the beard because there aren’t many players who “fear the beard” right now.

NOTE: They examined his elbow because that where his brain is located.

Not at all—it’s just the latest place they are looking for it.

Is braided beard hair stronger than a human ACL?

Here we go, reason why Giants don’t make postseason in 2011 is injuries. When in fact we all know, they just don’t have ‘it’ this year. Diamondbacks and Brewers certainly do right now. Giants just lack that hunger and drive it takes, Beltran is once again injured (surprise, surprise) so what little bats they do have, have not produced. Done.

General Manager Brian Sabean was quoted as saying “If the other teams would stop trying so damn hard to win, our guys wouldn’t have to go out there and keep getting hurt. We’re considering filing an official complaint with the league office. Ouchy ouchy, wah wah wah.”

I suppose losing a world series pitcher, Posey, Beltran, Sanchez is a roll with the punches scenario.

    Giants are done.

A bad back and a sore elbow! He must have hurt his elbow while scratching his back.

He injured it by repeatedly patting himself on the back for being so quirky.

Has any athlete ever gone to Dr. James Andrews and come back with good news?

The bearded clam has finally warn out his arm from stroking his greasy beard in between pitches…

Maybe if he’d exercise his arm and elbow by lifting a razor and shaving cream, he wouldn’t be in this predicament.

What a bunch of cry babies. I can think 24 teams who’d jump off a bridge head first to have a Brian WIlson closing games.
