I just hope they don’t go after Andrew Friedman. With Shields, Price, Hellickson, Niemann, Davis, Alex Cobb, Matt Moore, and Alex Torres all vying for a spot in the rotation next year, something has to give. It will be a blockbuster offseason with 2 quality starters getting traded and BJ Upton traded/extended. It would really suck to give a rookir GM that responsibility. I don’t want the Cubs calling Friedman for anything, unless they want to empty their farm for our number 3 starter, like they did last year,

Who in their right mind would make that switch? A person would have to be on LSD, and in the midst of a horror trip to move from the penthouse to the sh*t
house. No offense to the Cubs fans, God knows you’ve endured a lot of pain over the years, but I’m just sayin.

Brian Cashman being a GM at other than the Yankees is somewhat akin to the concept of Hal Steinbrenner selling the Universe to Frank McCourt “on the cuff”.
I will not abide by such inveterate silliness.
