Dang, you busted me! I do exaggerate at times, but in proper context, that 20 GDP’s is double of what J-roll gets in 5x as many plate appearances.. give or take some.

Yes, Valdez’s VaDP, which coincidentally is named after him, is 75%, which means that 3 of 4 times he comes up with a man on first and less than 2 outs, he grounds into a double play. Of course, recently, he has been mashing that 4th time up, but it’s a small sample size. Besides, we really wouldn’t want him to become an RBI Hog now would we?

Assuming Chooch continues his torrid pace…the guy is getting on base at a 40% clip since July 1, then there should be PLENTY of chances for Wilson to roll over on an inside fast ball and ground into DP after DP. As long as he brings his glove every night, it will be OK with me.
