As was pointed out, he beat it, high tailed it, fled, “amscrayed” out of the RS offices the night he resigned after his hissy fit because he couldn’t have sole control over baseball operations. Picture this; your contract is up, you your team just won the first WS in 86 years and rather then accept your great big raise and bask in the afterglow of your part in this historic accomplishment, you petulantly quit because you can’t get your way. And, rather than act like a grown up, and since it happened to be Halloween, he borrowed somebody’s gorilla suit so he didn’t have to face the media. PRICELESS!

Nothing says dignity and class like sneaking off into the night in an ape costume.
