that’s what I always think when I see someone suggesting he sit. For who? At least he is hitting .269… and the man is his own unique thing, so while I think his streak is done, I would not at all be surprised if he didn’t turn it around and go on a tear.

Why would the Mariners bench Ichiro? They don’t have any better options and he takes up about a quarter of their payroll. Let him finish out the season and see if he can correct whatever problems he is having.
