In fact he dislikes it here knowing that this is a temporary place to be. He has more time on the DL the last 3 years than ANYONE in the NL. His numbers came from hitting in a Mets lineup that featured decent hitters. Nate is a local guy that always seems to come up with the big hit. Who do you want in Right field, a rifle arm of Nate or Beltran? Game on line I want Nate hitting for me, not some wash up star.

Nate: .278/.326/.430 (in the best season he’s ever had)
Beltran: .283/.378/.494 (and he’s put up production like this for years)

Beltran was, far and away, the best available hitter, and we got him. Not sure how that qualifies as a mistake. Hit a bunch of dingers, Carlos!

The Beltran move was a huge mistake for the Giants, if they want to admit it or not. Beltran is not the same player he was 5 years ago. If the game is on the line, I rather see Nate Schierholtz batting rather than Carlos Beltran!
